It bruises a strange colour of green.

It’s orange becoming white towards the centre of the stem.

It’s the Red Pine Mushroom, the Saffron Milk Cap, Lactarius deliciosus.

They come up here, in the same place, every year. I’m looking forward to them coming up again next year already.
