Skating on water
I always enjoy seeing pond skaters, as childhood memories flood back:
Today there are some large ones on this brook and I’m enjoying the heart-shaped pattern of waves this one is making:
The senses this pond skater must have, to detect vibration in the water, are beyond our human experience.
They are more alien than even the most fevered imagination of a Hollywood director.
