Crows at sunset

The Carrion Crows are still roosting on the River Teign. They feed on invertebrates in the mud in the estuary. Walking along the bank we can hear the occasional shot. I wonder whether it’s a rabbit or a crow meeting its end.

When the light begins to fade they gather and swirl in mad confusion. The fastest ones are the ones which are late.
