Pochard on the pond

There’s a Pochard on the pond at The Regent’s Park. It’s a male, with a beautiful brown head and its bright red eye. The patterns on its feathers are stunning.

Its UK conservation status is Red and the RSPB estimate there are only 681 breeding pairs in the UK. That should worry us all.
