Dastardly
There’s a grey Heron on the far bank of the water at The Regent’s Park in London. It looks dastardly:

It sits on a bush or stalks the bank. I even see it try to strike an unwary pigeon:

That dagger-like bill…

And those beady eyes…

Make it look like a killer.
It’s only when I catch a glimpse of it full-face that I begin to laugh:

This one is having a bad feather day.
