Grey Squirrel
This routered portrait of a Grey Squirrel in the park is a cartoon exaggeration of their actual characteristics.
They do look beautiful with the sun shining through their ears.
And I like the way that sometimes their tails have a bad hair day.
They are so alert and alive to every movement and willing to scamper up or down the trees at the merest hint of danger or even the ponderous approach of a rather slow fat dog.
Feeding them the occasional nut is a pleasure.
And just in case you think they are a highly invasive pest species who spread disease, so are humans.
