Doors
My friend messaged me to ask if I could send him a photograph of my front door. “Why” I wonder, “would he want that?”
There’s a slight practical problem that he expects it to be “Old, oak and rugged I hope.” It’s a shame to disappoint him but the front door to the hall is breezeblocks and a window. The front door to the house is ugly, 1960s-modern and can’t be opened.
I settle for a photograph of the shed door. No longer a door since it’s off its hinges, and not oak, but at least it is old and most definitely rugged!
I don’t think it’s what he wanted.
