Snoozing Diver
There’s a Great Northern Diver in Brixham harbour.
I climb down the slippery stone steps to sea-level and perch as low as I dare, with the water lapping at my walking boots. The colours of the reflections of bright boats are lovely as a backdrop as it basks in the sun and attempts a little shut-eye.

I put my elbow on the lowest step and the water washes over it. I now have a wet elbow.
Brixham harbour is one of my favourite places to see Great Northern Divers. It’s also one of the best places in the UK to get a wet elbow.
I’ll have to come here again soon to see if I can capture them eating crabs again.
