Shag braking

It’s not just how fast you can fly – sometimes it’s how fast you can stop.

Here’s a Shag putting on the brakes with both wings and tail. It’s also had its feet out like huge trailing spades to help slow down. It really doesn’t want to be hitting the water at its top flying speed.
