Pacific Oysters

There are Pacific Oyster farms on the River Dart. They are an introduced species and resolutely refuse to stay where the farmers want them. They escape and grow wherever the fancy takes them. It is possible that they will colonise space which might otherwise have been used by native oysters or mussels.

What is certain, however, is just how delicious they are.
