The Spectacular Rustgill

It’s that season again. There are dense clusters of Spectacular Rustgills in this woodland. In the light they are a fabulous bright orange. In the shade of the trees and embankments they are a subtle yellowy-brown.

Glorious, aren’t they?

I really must get out here again to see them, hopefully when there’s not a deluge and preferably when my over-trousers have arrived. I got so wet lying on the ground taking this photograph that my house has been steaming with condensation ever since.
