Penny Buns

It’s wet again and my trousers are soaking after lying in a wet field photographing these marvellous Penny Buns, Ceps, Porcini, or whatever you want to call them. Their local names make using the scientific name, Boletus edulis a sensible choice, although since Boletus means lump (like bolus) and edulis means edible, calling them ‘Edible Lump’ seems a lot less romantic than their other names.

Time for a goose egg omelette with Penny Buns while I search for high quality over-trousers at bargain prices.
