Dolphins and a Great Northern Diver
I’m at Brixham in South Devon again, looking out to sea. It helps that I’ve met a couple of great people who are dolphin-watching. Otherwise I would have never seen this:
The Ruddy Turnstones are everywhere. That’s their name, by the way, not an insult.
And then, finally, I get what I came here for: a poor photograph of a Great Northern Diver, Gavia immer. Actually, I came here for a great photo of a Great Northern Diver, but that didn’t happen.

At least, not until it flew over me. Wow!

I now, officially, love Great Northern Divers. I’m coming here again.
