The Buzzard’s call
I’ve finally found the active Buzzard’s nest deep in The Wood. It’s not this one:
They’ve built another smaller one higher up in a much more precarious position.
Here’s one of the birds calling as it flies on the outskirts of The Wood. It’s great to have a clear view of it on such a beautiful evening.
I’m looking forward to seeing juveniles if they have a successful breeding year. I can imagine their calls echoing around this South Devon valley already. Anticipation is a glorious thing, isn’t it?
