Green Hairstreak

The Green Hairstreak is a green butterfly. Saying it’s green really does do it a disservice, though. Just look at that colour!

It has a thin dotted white line on its underwings, which is from where the hairstreak name comes. It’s also surprisingly tiny if you’ve never seen one before. And given how camouflaged they are, it may be a while before you spot one.
