Incoming!

We’ve diverted from our route slightly to visit Roque Bentayga on Gran Canaria. Looking down into the ravine, it’s great to see the road on which we’ve travelled.

I spot a male Canary Islands Kestrel flying fast towards us and lift my camera, get it in focus and take this:

I was so close to missing it in flight. A fraction of a second later and it’s landed:
