The Bees of San Giusto

We’re staying in an Abbey in Italy for a few days as we tour around Tuscania. It’s the Abbazia San Giusto. Here’s what their website has to say:

We don’t have the chance to see the view from the top of the Medieval tower because we’re staying in the servant’s quarters which are less than half the price. At least we can see the view from the bottom of the Medieval tower in the cloister.

There’s a fountain in the cloister which is busy with bees:

They seem to be incredibly thirsty.

I’m fascinated by their reflections and by the sparkling water:

It’s a beautiful place.
