The Seal of Approval
These Common Seals love hauling out in Pierowall Bay:
They are often there. Together they look as if they ought to have several other offences taken into account.
They’re managing to have a bit of relaxing shut-eye this afternoon. That’s why we’re keeping our distance.
Some of them look as if they’re under the influence of substances. Well, they must have been drinking:
One of them’s obviously heard my attempt at humour:
This is the point at which I’m glad they’re yawning through tiredness and not hunger:
It’s relaxing in the warm sunshine here:
Sometimes I feel we might be intruding on them:
Pierowall really is the best harbour around.
