Rooks in flight

The River Exe has a railway line running the full length from Exmouth to Exeter on one side and from Dawlish Warren to Exeter on the other. A pedestrian level crossing has recently been replaced with a massive bridge for people, bicycles and horses. The top of the bridge is walled in so you can’t see the trains, not even through a gunloop or tiny window. That makes it more difficult to throw yourself or something else onto the tracks or the trains below but it does spoil the view.

Down the slopes either side, however, are fine views of the Exe estuary with an eye-level view of birds in flight. These Rooks were having a flypast in the fine weather.
