Female Mandarin Ducks are stunningly beautiful birds. Yet, because their plumage is so subtle, their crest so sleek and their male counterparts so breathtaking, they often get unfairly overlooked. Time then to give them some appreciation in their own right. After all, who wants to be unfairly compared to their stunning-looking mate all the time? Not me.
