Woodland glade
It was very late last year when I saw a Speckled Wood butterfly:
This year it was May when I saw my first: here’s one in a woodland glade:
They are so much smaller than I remember them.
Maybe it’s looking at my photographs of them on a large screen which has distorted reality.
