Look! No hands!

In the wild, Grey Squirrels eat buds, bark and shoots as well as acorns, hazelnuts and fungi. Here’s one tucking into sweet new spring buds:

Here’s one hanging on by the nails on a single foot while it raids a bird feeder of peanuts:

If we’re going to leave rich banquets hanging around, then Squirrels are going to make the most of it. It beats gnawing on bark for sustenance.
