Long-Tailed Bushtits

It’s raining and the weather is dull. It’s not great light for photography, but it is great light for observation. These Long-Tailed Tits are slightly discombobulating: they give me the same queasy sense I get from watching trapeze artists:

I know that my camera is level but they really do make up seem down:

Until, finally, the performance ends and we’re all back vertical again:
