A Blackcap like a fine wine

I’m tickled by this description of a Blackcap’s song: “The Blackcap’s song lacks the Blackbird or Thrush-like phrases of the Garden Warbler but has a similar irresolute chattering effect. Has a clearer, cleaner quality with a melancholic flute-like ending” At first I think it’s almost as pretentious as a reviewer’s description of the taste of a wine.

One British Trust for Ornithology identification video narration says, “Blackcap song is rich, bubbly and flutey.” See what I mean?

This Blackcap’s song sounds beautiful. And this bottle of chilled white wine in the garden? It tastes just like a Blackcap’s song.
