Ten thousand species of millipede

There are something like 10,000 species of millipede. It’s difficult to say exactly how many because the number keeps going up as we discover more and more new species and keeps going down as we destroy our environment and make species extinct.

Here’s one in Italy. There are about 400 species of millipede in Italy.
