Holly Blue Butterfly, without the Holly

There’s a tiny blue butterfly in the garden in Puglia in Italy. I see it move high in the bush and then I see it’s blue. It’s only after I’ve taken its photograph and it’s long gone that I see that it’s a Holly Blue.

Holly Blue caterpillars seem to like eating Holly and Ivy, but at different times of the year. They’re a bit like me: potatoes in winter and pasta in summer. Here’s to more days of pasta.
