Blue Tits – forty years ago in my nature notebooks

Forty years ago I was twelve when I sketched these Blue Tits. It’s a parent feeding a juvenile bird:

Today I’m in the woods photographing them.

I’ll just have to wait until the summer before I see parents and young again. In the meantime they have a hard winter to survive.
