A calm day flying over the coastline of Orkney is beguiling. Looking below at the beautiful fresh blue water there’s little hint of the raging storms which have weathered these Old Red Sandstone cliffs. The cliffs are just like people; on a good day you just can’t tell what they’ve been through.
