More guano than Peru

Fortunes were built on the stuff. Entire estates and magnificent country houses like Tyntesfield near Bristol were funded by it. People are wealthy now because their ancestors risked all to collect it. People literally slaved to gather it. Ships sailed half-way around the world to collect it. What was it? In their case it was Peruvian Pelican poo.

Since I had a broken window, and the Starlings got in, Einar is now rivalling the greatest Peruvian guano deposits of the 19th Century. It’s time to sweep up and put it on my rhubarb.
