Orkney Seal Rescue

We have time to visit the Orkney Seal Rescue centre in South Ronaldsay thanks to Ross. He shows us the only current inhabitant; a seal pup rescued from Finstown last month as a very young pup. Thankfully it is making excellent progress. It has huge eyes like deep black rock pools.

It has plenty of room, healthy food and a fair amount of exercise. It’s one of the lucky ones.

Please visit their website Orkney Seal Rescue to see all they do.

"Who you lookin' at?"

The seals at Broughton on Westray are curious.
