I don’t mind

Note to self – if Westray folk say “I don’t mind” they’re not saying “I don’t care,” they’re saying “I don’t remember.” It’s the verb ‘to mind’ as in ‘to bring to mind’ or ‘to remember’. As in: “I can’t mind it at the moment”; and “Do you mind when it was?” It’s confuserous.
