Cash Pointless

Westray is small and remote but not that small and remote. It has hotels, B&Bs, restaurants (in the hotels) a takeaway (twice a week) and a doctor. In addition it has a bank. The Royal Bank of Scotland is proud of its association with the Islands of Orkney and flies in a member of staff twice a week for business in a portacabin-style bank (other pre-fabricated building manufacturers are available). Here, this is modern banking; it used to be a bank boat travelling between islands.

It’s time to get some cash. How nice it is to speak to a real person who says thank you and counts your money out with a smile. Thank you RBS for reminding me what banking should still be all about.
